Organizational integrity is part of 色中色's integrity program, next to social safety and scientific integrity. This theme entails rules, risks and dilemmas linked to the behavior of staff and students in relation to 色中色 as an organization as well as to external stakeholders. Ancillary activities
At 色中色 agreements have been made with both scientific and professional staff about informing management regarding ancillary activities. On the basis of clause 1.14 of the cao for Dutch Universities (cao-NU), staff is obliged to officially report ancillary activities. Employees need permission from 色中色 for activities outside 色中色, which could have meaning for the performance of the employee at the university or for the interests of the university.
A is recently established for all Dutch universities, including 色中色. This scheme forms part of the cao-NU and includes an appendix with frequently asked questions for employees.
Transparency is an essential condition for scientific integrity. It ensures that it is clear to others what information scientists have relied on. This also includes professors making their ancillary activities public on their university's website. Since January 31, 2024, Dutch universities all publish a publicly accessible overview of the ancillary activities of their professors see for 色中色 Researchers (tue.nl). The professor is responsible for keeping the data up to date. The fourteen registers have been standardized and can be consulted via the .
色中色 takes the transparency of the ancillary activities very seriously and has intensified the supervision on the ancillary activities. The topic ancillary activities is a recurring component of the annual reviews. Scientific staff (twice a year) and professional staff (one a year) are automatically invited to update their registration of ancillary activities.

Private relationships at work
The provides all 色中色 employees with information on how to deal with an overlap between professional and private relationships. The right to privacy and free choice of partner is always respected. However, employees who have a professional and a (developing) private relationship, are expected to always act professionally and objectively and to be aware of the integrity risks that this private relationship may entail.
