Cradle for new scientific directions
Ceres is a building located on the 色中色 campus and serves as the home base for ICMS staff and members of our partner departments and their group members. It acts as a 鈥渃radle鈥 for new scientific directions, providing a nurturing environment for young researchers. As these researchers grow and their work evolves into larger research groups, they transition to the departments that originally appointed them.
Originally built between 1958 and 1963 as a boiler house, Ceres was renovated between 2009 and 2012 into a modern office and educational facility while preserving its industrial character.
